Feedback Wrap
The Feedback Wrap is a structured approach to delivering constructive feedback, focusing on context, observations, emotions, value, and suggestions. It fosters a culture of continuous improvement and open communication by providing a clear and actionable framework for addressing issues.
Use this method when you need to provide feedback that is both direct and empathetic, aiming to improve performance or address specific behaviors in a way that motivates positive change.
Solves: Defensive reactions to feedback, vague or unhelpful feedback, lack of clarity on impact and desired changes.

- 3
Step 3: Express your emotions (3 minutes). Share how the situation made you feel, focusing on your personal experience rather than blaming the other person.
- 4
Step 4: Sort by value (5 minutes). Explain why the issue is important to you and what your needs are in this situation.
- 5
Step 5: End with suggestions (5 minutes). Offer one or two concrete suggestions for how the person can improve or address the issue.
- 6
Step 6: Open the floor for discussion (5-10 minutes). Allow the recipient to ask clarifying questions and engage in a dialogue to ensure mutual understanding.
- Encourage participants to be specific and avoid generalizations.
- Remind participants to focus on their own feelings and needs, rather than blaming others.
- Use a 'start, stop, continue' format for the suggestions step.
- Adapt the steps into a visual template for easier guidance.
