Product Pitch Challenge
Teams are given a ridiculous or mundane object and must create a high-stakes 'Shark Tank' style pitch to sell it. This encourages creative marketing, rapid ideation, and public speaking skills.

When to Use
To practice persuasive communication and 'out of the box' thinking in a fun, competitive format.
How It Works
Solves: Stale thinking or lack of confidence when presenting new ideas to stakeholders.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps to facilitate this method
- 1
Step 1: Assign each breakout group a random object (e.g., a broken paperclip, a used tissue).
- 2
Step 2: Groups have 15 minutes to name the product, define a target audience, and create a 60-second pitch.
- 3
Step 3: Each group performs their pitch for the 'judges' (the rest of the team).
- 4
Step 4: Vote on the 'Most Likely to Succeed' and 'Most Creative' pitches.
Facilitator Tips
- Encourage teams to use 'features and benefits' logic to make the pitches sound professional.
- Provide a simple pitch template (Problem, Solution, Cost) to help them structure their thoughts.
Variations
- Internal Pitch (pitching a real process improvement for the company)
