How It Works

Solves: Lack of focus at the start of a session; participants not fully engaged.

Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps to facilitate this method
  1. 1

Step 1: Form a circle. The facilitator stands in the center with a ball. (2 minutes)

  2. 2

Step 2: Explain the rules: When the facilitator says 'PUSH,' the receiver must CATCH, and vice versa. (3 minutes)

  3. 3

Step 3: The facilitator throws the ball to a participant while calling out 'PUSH' or 'CATCH'. (5 minutes)

  4. 4

Step 4: If the receiver performs the wrong action, they are 'out' and leave the circle. (Ongoing)

  5. 5

Step 5: Continue until only one person remains, declaring them the winner. (Ongoing)

Facilitator Tips
  • Start slowly to allow participants to grasp the concept.
  • Vary the speed and tone of your instructions to keep participants on their toes.
  • Encourage laughter and lightheartedness; it's okay to make mistakes.
Variations
  • Introduce more instructions (e.g., 'LEFT,' 'RIGHT') with corresponding actions.
  • Allow eliminated players to re-enter the game after a certain number of rounds.
  • Play without elimination, focusing on individual performance and improvement.
