Talking with Pixies
In groups of four, one person describes a crossroads they face. One person interviews them while two others, the pixies, sit behind and listen. The pixies then speak aloud, as if whispering, the beliefs and assumptions they suspect are holding the person back, playfully and without advice. The person reflects on what landed. Roles rotate until everyone has had a turn.
Use when people are stuck at a personal or professional crossroads and need to see the beliefs that keep them there.
Solves: People stay stuck on a decision because the real obstacle is an assumption they cannot see themselves.

Step 6: Pixies whisper aloud the hidden beliefs they suspect, then share insights with the person (5-6 min).
- 7
Step 7: The person reflects on what landed. Rotate roles and repeat for each person (3 min per round).
- 8
Step 8: Whole group shares what they noticed (4 min).
- Use it only where there is already trust. People are sharing real doubts.
- Pixies explore assumptions with lightness and curiosity. They do not give advice.
- The demonstration matters. People need to see what a pixie whisper sounds like.
- Combine with Spiral Journal as preparation before the quartets.
