Virtual Improv for Agility
A series of improvisational exercises that train the brain to react quickly, embrace 'Yes, And' thinking, and build on the ideas of others without judgment.
To improve creative confidence and adaptability within a team facing rapid change or complex problems.
Solves: Fear of failure, rigid thinking, or team members shooting down ideas too early in the brainstorming process.
- 1
Step 1: Warm up with 'One Word Story' where the group builds a narrative one word at a time in the chat or verbally (10 minutes).
- 2
Step 2: Introduce 'Scenes from a Chat' where participants submit absurd scenarios for pairs to act out (20 minutes).
- 3
Step 3: Run 'To Your Right' where participants must incorporate the nearest physical object into a spontaneous pitch (15 minutes).
- 4
Step 4: Debrief on how 'Yes, And' can be applied to current work projects (5 minutes).
- Allow people to 'pass' or play a supporting role if they are extremely introverted.
- Celebrate the 'failures' and the laughs to build safety.
- Focus purely on 'Yes, And' for a brainstorming-specific session.
